What is a Dermal Filler?

Dermal Fillers are products that are designed to contour, create volume, fill lines and hydrate the skin. Our product range consists of dermal fillers for the treatment of lips, facial lines, wrinkles and facial folds. The results are immediate.

What areas can be treated?

Dermal filler products can be used to smooth away facial lines and wrinkles, create fuller lips and shape facial contours, such as cheeks and chin, and rejuvenate the skin.

The most common areas treated are:

  • Nose to mouth lines (the nasolabial folds)
  • Jawlines to lift and improve skin laxity.
  • Lips (rejuvenation, adding volume and shape)
  • Cheeks and chin (shaping and contouring)
  • Tear trough and temple hollowing 
  • Back of the hands, décolletage, face, neck (skin rejuvenation)
  • Stretch marks and cellulites.

How long will the results last?

Duration depends on factors like the individual’s skin type, lifestyle and age.

Dermal Fillers can last anywhere from 6-12 months. With one re-treatment; the results can last up to 18 months. Treatments have a recovery time of 2 to 3 days.

Does the treatment hurt?

Dermal Filler and Anti-Wrinkle treatments are administered by a qualified Health Care Professional in Australia. You may experience some discomfort, however this can be minimized by local anaesthetic and topical creams. You can discuss this with your practitioner prior to the treatment.

What are the side effects?

The most common side effects are redness, tenderness and swelling after the treatment which usually subsides within 2-3 days. Occasional bruising can occur which can be covered by make-up.

How long does the treatment take?

Dermal Filler treatments usually take around 30 minutes. 

What will I look like if I decide not to have another treatment?

If you decide not to have another treatment your skin will return to its natural pre-treatment condition. 

Is treatment with dermal fillers expensive?

Depending on the patient needs.
